5:00-6:30 p.m. - Pilates 50/50

Credits: .1 ACE, 1.5 AFAA

Experience this new cutting-edge pilates workout that will sculpt your booty AND strengthen your core. Pilates 50/50 is a class consisting of 1/2 standing pilates work that integrates pilates principles into lower body work, and 1/2 pilates mat work to strengthen the core with complementary exercises. Learn how to create your own standing work by discovering the 4 base movements, intensifiers, and mood-makers as well as effective cueing techniques. This class is a sell-out, "booty-lifting-ab-sculpting" class that will top the list at YOUR club! Equipment needed: Just a mat (Yoga mat will do)

Integrate movement from fitness into your yoga Sun Salutations and learn how to create new combinations and even an entire class all based on flowing, Sun Salutation style movement. Learn the basics of adding Gliding discs to your current classes and client workouts as well as how to create new and unique, Gliding-based programming. Learn teaching techniques for Gliding including cueing and exercise progressions. Discover cardiovascular step and gliding patterns to heat things up, then move into creative and unique muscle sculpting exercises that your students will love! Equipment needed:Step, Weights, Tubing, Gliding Discs (2 per person) (Tubing and discs provided. Steps available to rent for $5 each)

10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.- Stability Ball Progressions

Credits: .2 ACE, 2 AFAA

This workshop is a must for all group fitness instructors, personal trainers, and physical therapists who want to learn intermediate to advanced stability ball exercises for their classes, clients and patients. Learn exercises for all muscle groups, including core and balance training in seated, standing, supine, prone, side-lying and supine-on-the-floor positions utilizing additional equipment such as dumbbells, tubing, bodybars, medicine balls and Gliding discs. The biomechanics of each movement pattern, verbal cueing, hands-on cueing and progressions will be taught. Equipment needed:Stability Ball, Weights, Tubing (Tubing provided. Stability ball available to rent for $5 each)

(BOSU Interval Training Exercise For Muscular Endurance)

Credits: .2 ACE, 2 AFAA

Take your BOSU® training to the next level with this workshop. With a strong emphasis on resistance training and progressions using free weights and tubing on the BOSU®, participants will learn how to safely integrate these strength training techniques to group fitness classes and personal training sessions. Also covered in this workshop will be aerobic and anaerobic movement patterns that can be added to create an exciting and challenging interval workout session – whether working in a rhythmic (group fitness) or non-rhythmic (personal training or sports-oriented) setting. Equipment needed: BOSU®, Dumbbells, Tubing (Tubing provided. BOSU® available to rent for $5 each)*
